Welcome to the SLN-MUN Virtual Learning Environment

SLN-MUN conference

"Engaging students in current world affairs"

About Schools Linking Network Model United Nations (SLN-MUN)

The aim of the SLN-MUN programme is to engage students from years 9 to 13 in current world affairs, providing them with the opportunity to explore the four key questions – ‘Who am I? Who are we? Where do we live? How do we all live together?’ – that form the basis of all SLN teaching.

The programme encourages students to take on, and attempt to deal with, complex global crises. It provides an opportunity for young people to explore ways of dealing with controversial issues.

Students are expected to debate and consider the legal, moral, economic, environmental, historical, social and cultural dimensions of a number of political problems and issues that may be heard by various bodies at the United Nations.
